SCRIPT/INE
The F.U.E.L. Gallery, Skylar Tibbits, Simon Koumjian and Marc Fornes present: SCRIPT/INE, an exhibition devoted to expressing the possibilities of experimentation through scripted computational strategies. This exhibition is the first of its kind in the United States, and is an exciting opportunity for proponents of scripting to demonstrate the capability of scripting as a catalyst for emergent design. Just as gasoline powers a vehicle and our lives, scripting is a technique that can power emergent design in the 21st century: SCRIPT/INE.
Call for Submissions:
This call for submissions has been initiated to promote the use and continued advance study of scripting techniques as well as to acquaint the public with the design possibilities of scripting. This call for submissions seeks projects that demonstrate experimentation with scripting techniques. Submissions should demonstrate the limitless capabilities of algorithmic techniques in architectural design. Participants are required to design using 3D modeling software.
Submission Requirements:
Each participant is required to submit two 11"x17" panels as provided in the submission packet. Each submission must be accompanied by a $10.00 check made payable to The F.U.E.L. Collection. Checks must be sent to the address below. The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2007. Panels are to be sent via e-mail to script/ine@fuelcollection.com and questions can be sent to questions@fuelcollection.com. All work is to be fully scripted with the exception of renderings.
Exhibition:
The exhibition will be held in September, 2007. The F.U.E.L. Gallery is located at 249 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA.
